Someone tell me a cheap(excuse me, inexpensive) crossbow that will accurately send a bolt into a turkey's vitals at 10 yards. This does not have to do a job on anything larger than a turkey. I don't believe that I need a state of the art weapon for that chore. Do you?

No sir you dont. But you might want state of the art for safety. Im afraid that in most of these cases you get what you pay for. So all Im saying is please be careful and closely inspect for quality flaws and Im sure you will be just fine. Good luck to you on your turkey ?

I'VE HAD THIS CROSSBOW FOR ABOUT A YEAR. GOT IT TO KILL COONS AND VARMITS THAT TEAR THE TRASH UP. HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH IT. JUST LIKE ANYTHING ELSE YOU NEED TO BE SAFETY MINDED. BUT YOU WILL HAVE GOOD SERVICE FOR THE PRICE.

That sounds great and you also sound like you have a great game plan. Just thought I would mention the safety factor for safe measures. I personally dont like any crossbow over 175 lbs. I would rather keep it between 150 to 175 pounds as it seems there is a pretty good track record of bows like this. It seems as the money grabbers head toward the high poundage and high speed bows then there seems to be a safety issue on that end as well as the low end scale. When I feel the amount of pressure it takes to bend and cock the limbs and string on my 150 pound Vixen then its really all I care to stress them out for.

Continue to ponder what move I should make, hope not to ponder until I'm too old to hunt!
Walmart has a pretty good looking package, a Panzer V by Barnett, for $159 and some change. This is a 150 bow, which Barnett advertises as the "Wildcat redefined. Unquestionably the best selling crossbow of all time".
I'm thinking that it might be the ticket for me, good price, new equipment, 150, and by one of the leading manufacturers in the industry.
Has anyone had any experience with Barnetts in general, or this bow specifically?

I have a Barnett Rev. also and like you Mike it's very fast and dont realy see how one could be more accurate?
