went thru all this trouble trying to get the gun i had built to shoot after a few set of rings an bases . took the elcheapo bases an rings i bought the other day an put on my 7 mag guess there closer to the gun than the ones ive tried
went to the range yesterday in the heat an shot a few rounds plenty of room up an down an side to side on the scope thank god dern thing was bought to drive me nutty
shooting three a lil low at a 100 into a dime size hole

Bases for a Weatherby Mk V fit Model 700`s, they were made in different height/thicknesses. Maybe you got the wrong ones somehow, anyway I`m glad you got it straightened out.
