After years of playing around, and tons of research, being forced to be happy with a 2"-3" inch group, and knowing I can't take a shot longer than 50yds with this White .504 caliber, I've finally got it right. 11 shots and not a single patch ran down the tube between shots. 70 grains of 777 powder, Bullshop 460grain mt/nex conicals sized to .5045 and it is stacking them with my new Nikon scope. Got it zeroed at 1" high at 75yds with a sled, then moved back to 100yds and shot off of my knee. I now understand the term "dirty White boy". \:\)

I like it.

Finally someone not trying to make a magnum out of a muzzle loader. I predict you won't have any trouble killing a deer with that combination.

I always loved Doc's guns, wouldn't mind having a .451 or was it a .452?

Nice front stuffer.

Thanks...I have always loved it. You are correct, it was the .451....and yes, Doc made a heck of gun and was many years ahead of his time. His design and technology has finally been caught in the last few years by the "modern" in-lines in my opinion....provided you get the right setup, and that has been the problem since White has been out of business for years and the guns are pretty rare and so is information.

Good group congrats on getting it worked out. Sometimes less is more on the powder and some like bigger bullets. I have only loaded 2 ML with magnum loads and that didn't last long not fun to shoot and not needed around here.
