100 grains is 100 grains if measured, no different than measuring out triple 7 or pyro

Grains is a weight. There are 7000 grains to a pound. Most volumetric measures are based on real black powder equivalent volume. The only way to be sure what's in your measure is to weigh what you got on scales.

So how does that differ from measuring in "volume"? How is volume measurement achieved vs just weighing in grains is what I'm trying to ask.

BH209 isn't shaped like black powder. So if you fill up a cylinder of a given volume with BH209, you will have a different weight of powder than you would if you filled the same cylinder of a given volume with black powder.

Think of filling a bucket with rocks and another with sand. Since the sand is smaller in grain size, you will have more weight of sand in the bucket than with the bucket of rocks.

Good deal MUP. In all honesty, that's hard to explain. May be my limited vocabulary though. Nothing like comparing gun powder to sand and rocks lol.

So, using that proportion, 63 gr wt = 90 gr vol, correct?
