I'm battling Johnson grass myself...let me know if the clethmodim keeps the Johnson killed back for long. Glyphosate seems to give me about a 3 week break from Johnson grass before it comes roaring back....seriously I can hear it growing ;\) .

Reckon its one of the several sedges? That would explain why cleth wouldn't kill it. Id dig the roots and see if you have tubers, rhizomes, or whatever.... that would help ID. I know its a common weed but I cant think of it right now.

Well then clethodim or sethoxydim wouldn't kill it, sedges aren't technically a grass. Basagran is a sedge herbicide.

Hi 8 points no basagran will not kill clover , I recommended spot spray just because I do not know the op's situation as far as equipment , field conditions or the amount of sedge in field area .
