Okay, so let's say I'm going out to scout a location out. Do I need to be all scent free and stuff? If I'm not will the deer not travel there anymore? I'm slightly new to this stuff haha.

I like to wear rubber boots and avoid touching vegetation as much as possible , stay out of thick bedding areas , and scout close to food sources at mid day . This has the lowest impact on deer picking up your scent in their core areas .

You can absolutely forget about being scentless—no matter what you do. Always work with the wind!!!! If your going to check an area, or get a camera or something do as Radar mentioned, but also pay attention to the wind.

I have one area that is near a bedding area, and if the direction of the wind will be blowing my scent in that direction I stay out.
