I'm asking because everyone's bow shoots things a bit different. I've hear the Magnus Stinger 2 blade broadheads fly like field points. Poser I know you shoot em. Who else shoots em too, and how do they fly compared to field points? I'm actually considering switching from thunderheads this year..... Haven't decided yet

I shoot them out of my Mathews Reezen 7.0. My draw weight is 64 and length is 29". I have no idea what speed they're shooting, but they fly exactly like my field points. They are really easy to sharpen as well.

Any broadhead will fly like a field point when shot out of a properly tuned bow .

ABSOLUTELY TRUE!!!

Cat,
2 blade heads are great heads. But it has been my experience that 4 blade heads simply cause more bleeding.
And the cost difference is very minimal.

I don't want a 4, choice is between a stinger 2 and a thunderhead 3 blade.

Not sure why you are wanting to change? Thunderheads are a great head.

something that flies better I guess, and penetrates better. If I dont switch to stingers, I definitely dont have anything against the Thunderheads. I love them

You need to get with somebody and tune your bow until thunderheads fly right you will get better penetration if your arrows fly right. I used thunderheads for years until going mechanical and almost always had complete pass thru's but with a bad shot there isn't a broad head made that will pass thru both shoulders or something like that.

I've used MAgnus 4 blades for the past several years. I switched over from thunderheads like you are contemplating. Thunderheads are accurate, tough, and penetrate extremely well, the same goes for Magnus. I switched because I like the way a cut on contact head slides through a deer, it seems like they walk off more with the Magnus and run off more with the Thunderhead. Although now after several killed with the Magnus the blood trails are just about the same. Average blood trail is right at 55yds for the Magnus and about 60yds for the thunderhead Blood trails are not a problem with either head. The lifetime guarantee is a major factor too, just package them up and send back, before the week is up you'll have new heads. I would recommend the 4 blade however, they kill as well as 4 blade heads its just that a single cut(-) doesn't seem to bleed as well as the (X+)double cut. You are switching from a well designed head for another well designed head.

My thunderheads don't fly bad at all, just like the thought of a tough cut on contact, easy to sharpen, and the warranty too. Last year my thunderheads were only an inch or two off field points. Haven't shot yet this year. Gotta decide quick....

Are you at a retail location that has Magnus and you need to make a decision before you leave? Lol

No not that quick, I got to get my BH's and shoot them before deer season opens.

The Magnus 2 blades fly about 2 inches higher than my field points, so I make minor adjustments in elevation for them.

Well..... I have decided what to use this year

Just got 6 of my arrows ready

Will be shooting an old dull one at the target to see if any sight adjustments are needed.

Figured I couldn't go wrong with the old trusty, and I can try the Magnus any time in the future if I want

I have had good results with them. You can't beat that guarantee either.
