Has anyone tried shooting their wrist strap with their middle finger. I tried it today and really like it. It puts my release hand in a position similar to my hinge release. Also it is great for setting off the release with the core back muscles. I also couldn't punch the trigger as easy. Give it a try. I wrap my index finger on the side close to my cheek.

I don't use a wrist strap but my best friends has been shooting like that for years and swears by it. when I did shoot the wrist strap I tried it and it did shoot a touch better. I did like it though

I've been doing it for many years. I developed a severe case of punching the trigger and switched off of my index finger to get a different feel—also I shortened it very, very short to where the trigger is deep in the knuckle closest to my hand. It also gave me another check point for my anchor as the leading knuckle of my index lays up against my cheekbone.

I have only shot that way when my first finger was injured (happen more often than I would like to admit). I may give that a shake out next spring. You never know.

just tried both ways from 40 yards same groups pretty much but I do like the the index finger knuckle becoming a anchor point under the cheek bone. One drawback was it felt like I was holding more weight at full draw, other than that I like it

I tried it. It felt pretty good. I don't think I will switch though. I don't want to have to switch fingers for deer and turkey shots.

Cause if I shoot a bird with with my middle finger my Momma will whip my butt.
