On certain WMA's you can only hunt a few days of the week...for instance Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. My question is can you scout before the season and/or can you be on the wma property on non-hunting days if you are just scouting? I can't find it in the guide...please help.

Not sure which WMA you are referring to... call the manager or region that is listed for the WMA in question.

If you are referring to Shelby Forrest. You can scout anyday as long as you do not carry a weapon on off days. You will more then likely see a Park Ranger almost every visit too.
Last year a 3.00 fee was also collected if you drive in the park

Yea I was talking about Shelby Forest and thanks for the info. The people at the park office didn't know nor did the person at the West Tennessee office that I called. Do you hunt Shelby forest often?

Seems like Mosquitos always run me off, now I know that sounds crazy and like Im a spoiled brat but I hunt more in other places where I have less to deal with. LOL
Now I have hunted it quite a bit the past 18 years on and off
and it is a great place with alot of Deer if you work hard at it.
Some of the biggest trees Ive ever seen are in Shelby Forrest, glad we are able to preserve land in this way.
Just make sure you have mosquito repellant if you hunt before
freezing temperatures hit. A good compass too, Ive been turned around out there and some of the hills are tough to climb if you hunt those areas. Some of everything at Shelby Forrest, definitely worth the trip.
