Something changed when I had new strings put on my Bow.......

Keeps shooting HIGH and LEFT
Make adjustments still high and LEFT
Arrow wasn't flying square, couldn't get it to do right.

Went and baught a new sight and new arrows....G5's broadheads
Still having the same problem.
I have adjusted the sight up and over trying to get it to correct. To shoot lower and to the right but it just keeps flying off target.

Im beginning to think my whisker bisquit is the issue, its the only thing I haven't replaced yet but I have adjusted it several times.

Browning Lightning 65LBS
I had trouble with it before but eventually got it on track but the strings finally worn out and had it replaced and now I'm way off.

Ive shot it over 30 times today and adjusted all the new parts but still OFF TARGET.

Try again tomorrow, but I could have baught a new bow with the money I now have in this one.

Is your bow set to spec with the new string? Not familiar with that bow but may need to adjust yokes.

I had GANDER MOUNTAIN put on the new string and it was a special order length if that is what you mean by set to spec.

Each year that passes Im slowly picking up the Bow more and more so I'm still learning but have never had this much trouble.

They looked at it before I brought it home and said it looked good and should shoot fine. If I cant get it set right tomorrow I guess I will have to take it somewhere else and see if someone can see what Im doing wrong.

You got the accessories, why don't you let me sell my used bow to you? I guarantee it'll shoot better than you. You need a bow for the fort anyways. You have mastered the gun areas with that big one last year. ;\)

Figured I'd come home shoot 5-10 arrows and be good to go.
Got too dark after 30 shots and I went in the house pissed off. LOL

I wasn't sure if it was throwing my arrows off.
I will start over tomorrow from 10yds and work my way back.
It was shooting so far off and every adjustment I made did absolutely NOTHING.
Start fresh after work and see if I can get it together.

I read Catman's post just now and found another clue....
I wait too long to practice
Should have been popping a few arrows every few days for the past several months.
Also fulldraw suggested I start at 10 yds.
I was shooting my Bow from 25 yds.
I get home with 3-4 hours of day light left this week so I will try to get it corrected.
It was so bad today I wanted to blame the BOW
But I realize now Im out of practice and its going to take some work.

Very likely your bow wasn't set up properly at the shop.

Had a new string put on my bow and the guy said "you are good to go". Peep was off, knock point was off by 3/4", cam lean was off. Took me a week of watching youtube, consulting Matthews website, and advice from a couple guys on here to get it dialed in. (Im NOT a master of bow tuning! )

Hope you get it worked out soon. Its really frustrating when you bow is off.

Definitely sounds like a tuning issue of some type, but without seeing it personally I would be doing nothing but taking educated guesses. If @fulldraw is offering to look at it, then I would take him up on it and get it resolved quickly.

Super 8 if you had new strings and cables put on the bow then you will need to get it set up again, just like it was new because it is. Check the bow specs and make sure the string and cable are correct. The axle to axle length and the brace height are critical to making a bow perform the way it is supposed to.

IF they are right then make sure all the accessories are in the right place (kisser, peep, nocking point, etc.). Then tune the bow. Several methods for checking that. Paper tuning, walkback, bareshaft, and broadhead. But get the bow tuned and the arrows flying true.

Then and only then do you start messing with the sight. The sight is the last step in setting up your bow. Get the bow tuned first then set your sights. Once the arrows are flying true do not adjust the rest or the nocking point again. Set you peep and kisser button to you, do NOT bring you to the peep or kisser.

To set the front sights chase the arrows with the pin. If shooting high move the pin up If shooting right move the pin right. Never adjust your pin due to the effects of a single arrow. Shoot groups. Adjust the group not a single arrow. Do not try to adjust the arrows impact point on the target by adjusting the rest (I see this all the time). The arrow rest and nocking point are to only used to tune the arrow flight not the point of impact. POI is the job of the peep, kisser, and the pins.

Was you string pre-stretched? If it's a Zebra string, I usually shoot 50-75 arrows, then adjust. Others may not agree, but having Gander Mountain tinker with your equipment is a major no no in my book.

All of this is good information and foreign to me but I get the drift now. Thanks

I was expecting to sight my Bow in like I would my rifle.
Shoot,Shoot,Adjust.
I will have to seek assistance or keep reading and you-tubing.
Adjusting the peep sight, nocking point, or any string adjustments are out of my knowledge level on Bow's at this point.
I have made all the mistakes noted here so far. LOL Adjusting after every shot, shooting too much in one day and not taking it to the best place to have it worked on.
I have killed deer with a Bow but it was not hard to set it up as I made a few shots and was able to get it where I needed using a target several years ago.
This attempt to get everything upgraded and reset sent me for a loop when I couldn't get it to fly straight.
As soon as the rain stops here Im going to take it slow and see how close I can get to fixing it.

FINALLY !!!

Started at 10 yds looking down the arrow only. Shot 5 in the same 6 inch circle.

Adjusted the sights to line up with those 5 shots.

Shot using the sights 5 times and was just a little to the right.

Adjusted the sight again and now Im pretty close but have some fine tuning

20 shots hit the 8 inch circle out to 25 yds.

Work on it again tomorrow but at least Im hitting the target now.

Im hooked now......it took a 20+ years of hunting to take a Bow serious but I will be using the Bow more often and especially practicing year round.

Coming home from work and slinging 30 arrows is therapy.

OK. I will bring it so you can check it out.

I went back out and shot 6 more times from 30 yds. and Im on target just a little more practice and I think I might be good.

Then I will move out to 40.
