When Bama went through their dry years, you didn't hear anything from the "fans". The longtime fans stuck around and probably got scorned for being a Bama fan.

When bammer beats Tennessee I get the "we" beat "y'all". "Hello, you idiot! You ARE one of us!" Back in he 90's I never saw a script A or heard roll tide. I can't wait for those days again.

Something tells me when TN gets back to winning and the TN bandwagon fans jump on board, you won't have so much disdain for them. I still don't understand why it irks people the way it does. It is just a game. ...but whatever cranks your tractor.

it is a little odd. but I understand some people not going to a game a whole lot of stadiums are a long way away from people. I just hate those people that have a new team they like every year. like last year all the nd "fans" that came out. that what I hate. bama has a whole lot though.

If it was just a game people would pull for teams they have ties to. It's about winning, and people that have never won anything getting to feel like a winner because "their" team won.

Oh, I see how it is. The idiot vol fans that cropped up after the 1998 title are fine because they're vol fans. The Alabama fans in Tennessee are just fans because Bama is winning. It's funny as heck the people that define other fans are only doing it now because their team sucks the mud out of septic tanks. When everyone was beating their chests a decade ago, all was well with the football world. I've been an Alabama fan longer than most of the posters on this thread have been alive. Newbies. Sheesh.

As with the comparisons people on here make about "real" hunters or "true" hunters, if you don't feel superior to someone else, what should it matter to you?

Funny how talk about bandwagon fans get them coming out of the woodwork screaming how they aren't. Every bammer I know "has been a bama fan since the 70's". I just wonder where they were all hiding in the 90's!

West TENNESSEE is FULL of bandwagon bammer fans. I see more A's than anything else. I love to quiz them on "their" school. Turns out 99% of them have NO ties to the school or state.

I actually feel sorry for them. If the only way you can feel like a winner in life is attach yourself to a bunch of 20 year old kids in another state that you have no ties to, you must live a sad existence indeed.

I am just curious, so these people you quiz, do you just go up and knock on their doors if they are flying a flag?
Pull them over or follow them home if its in on their car?
Stop them in the grocery store if they are wearing a shirt/cap?
All of the above?

I would like to know how you came up with 99%? Seems like you would have to have quizzed a ton of West-Tennesseans to come up with your statistic.

Spurhunter, just go ahead and say you're pissed because your team blows what flies won't. Nobody on here has to prove anything to you and if you don't believe what someone says, it's for you to worry about. Not every fan wears a jersey, has a sticker on their car/truck or seeks out fans of other teams to gloat to. Some of us Alabama fans actually feel a little sorry for the arnge nation because our team has had it's down years too. It'll all be okay in a few years and your vols can go back to the Citrus Bowl then. It's okay, really.

Us Alabama fans that live in Tennessee appreciate the effort that is made by some of the better football players in this fine state that choose to go to Tuscaloosa to play football and go to school. It's a higher ranked school than their state schools can offer and it isn't a bad place to play some football.
