Im 52 , and I have lifted weights since I was 18 , but I shoot 60 lbs. now because of a nagging shoulder injury suffered years ago by shooting a heavy draw weight bow.

Im 57 this week, I still use the climber, carry it to the woods each time, but did break down and got a cart to carry out the deer
It is rough walking out sometimes at 5 in the morning and climbing that tree, but its well worth the view each morning watching the sun come up
But I do sometimes on those days when the aches are around, I carry the pop up out to the woods and my stool, guess maybe that is cheating a bit, but what the heck
Guns dont kill people, they only provide a path
Legal gun owners will be punished because the government doesnt know how to keep the criminals from buying them.

The hardest thing about Bowhunting Turkeys is leaving the gun at home!

50 and I sure feel it. Bummer. My problem, injuries just don't heal as quick as they once did... if ever.

Just read these posts, I gotta tell ya, I'm on the downhill slide to 70, retired firefighter, 2 yrs. after I retired I came down with cancer, have had two operations and need one more. Just started bow hunting again. Purchased a Mathews Mission Craze and lightened her down to 58Lbs. 100% DAV courtesy of Agent Orange found out about it after I got sick with cancer. I now have multiple problems related to agent orange. It is very hard to walk about 100 yds. without my hips and knees aching the rest of the day. Before I retired, I could put most men in my back pocket and climb a telephone pole backwards just to prove a point. Now its hard to go grocery shopping. So, think getting old sucks ? Thats an understatment. But we old guys still find ways to get out and hunt and fish. Good luck this season boys , safety first, Old Guy

I was a heavy drinker and with the Grace of God I was able to quit and not touch another drop. Alcohol ages the body rapidly and sends many a young man to the grave. Its amazing how revitalized my body and mind is being sober.
