Time with my boys to sit, talk & enjoy nature without all the distractions (crap) from the outside world. Then the incredible sence of accomishment they achieve
If they are fortunate to take a squirrel or a deer.

It's a chance for me get away and clear my mind. I love to watch the world wake up in the morning. If I kill something that's a bonus.

Friends...... If it wasn't for the friends I hunt around it wouldn't mean half as much. Hunting is an awesome experience each trip, but without them to share it with... Just wouldn't be the same. Plus it's nice to have help dragging...
(Thanks plinker)

Hunting is like setting down to that perfect meal to eat. Killing a deer/dove/rabbit/etc is just desert.

Praising God for his handiwork.

Sitting in a November or December tree stand in the snow and cold or watching the sun rise on a clear day. Spring time in the turkey woods listening for that elusive gobble. Laying prone during a spring rain storm watching a sleeping gobbler wake up!

Smelling the woods in Alabama while putting some turkeys to bed, watching a bolt of lightning in the distance.

Its a refuge from the world and its anxieties. Unfortunately I don't do enough of it - but that will soon change.

Ive always got along better in the woods with the animals than in the city with people.
I understand the rules of animals and nature, but dont always understand people and the way they behave.
Hunting is a return to what feels like "home". Thats also why I'd rather hunt alone. Its time I spend just with me...and I dont get much "me" time these days.
