If you want to stay with BH209 you should probably get the CVA breech plug that is specifically for BH. Also, one of the great things, IMHO, about BH is that you do not have to swab between shots. I have shot 6 or 7 times at the range and not swabbed between shots nor seen any noticeable effect on accuracy.

Did you read the info about shooting BH in that MK85?

6 or 7 is anything LOL. Ive gone over 60 shots before I called it quits. I do clean my flash channel though, its just best to keep the primer flash flowing smoothly.

Have you tried firing a primer or two without any powder in it to make sure all the moisture is out and the flash hole is clear and dry before loading. I do this with inlines as well as sidelocks and point the end of the barrel at a leave or something like that that will move when the primer goes off. Also I use winchester 209 primers in inlines and have had not one single problem.

its not moisture, its not the cci primers, its the breech plug design buys. I will be helping the poster out here with what he needs and his V2 will be up and running in no time.

BH209 is well worth the trouble of modifying plug or just buy the bh209 plug.
You won't be sorry... BH209 is the best bp sub.....
