I hunt it every year. They are crafty animals and ive seen a few. You have to put in the time up there and really get " away" from the horse trails. Ive taken one out of there and had a friend take another a year or two before me. Beautiful country and we camp for the weekend and hike all over. Cant ask for a better place to get away and Iif you get out far enough ( certain areas have higher consentrations of hogs imo) you can get one. Its not easy I will tell you that but worth every second.
i guess i have killed as many one way as i have the other. i do love going into a bay when they got the devil hemmed up but i also love tracking them down without dogs also. i got way to many back, hip and knee problems to run dogs anymore. have to learn the ways of the pig ninja
