Never would have thought the peep would have made that much difference.

One of my boys backed out of our group, leaving a bow open. I let it sit for a while then thought what the heck, it's newer and has more let off than my old browning. Pulled out the bow he'd been using and gave it a whirl. Couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Pulled mine out, right on target. Got to looking and the peep on the newer bow is smaller diameter. Never realized it made that much of a difference. Boy I know now!

I would guess its a comfortability thing vs. peep size . If the peep is smaller and it is the CORRECT size it reduces the margin of error . Was the draw length the same ?

Draw was very close to exactly the same. I prefer to see the entire sight.

I hope I didn't come across as a smart a$@ . I was just wondering about the bow setup . It is very hard to pick up someone else's bow and shoot it the same as the bow you are comfortable with .

You didn't. I kind of figured where you were coming from. I use what I guess is a 1/4 peep. I can see my entire sight in it. It helps me know my alignment is correct. With the other bow I don't have that reference so I'm all over the place. I'll put two arrows In nearly the same spot so close together you have to pull them at the same time and the the 3rd will be 3" to the right or left and 6" up or down. Was driving me insane.

I had been using a single pin on my Browning and have come to the conclusion that there is too much margin for error in the field. Switched to a Tru-Glo tonight and will spend a little time tuning her back up. Mybe she'll forgive me in the morning!

Well...she forgave me. Nearly knocked and de-fletched all my practice arrows at 20 yards. Very confident there. Hit the bull with one arrow at 30 and 35. I'm happy. Will still tweak it a little over the next few days.

She forgave me....but gave me a few love bites along the way.
