I had been wanting a good back-up lightweight rifle to use for deer hunting. So I bought a browning abolt micro-hunter in a .308.This gun has a timney trigger, and leupold bases and rings. It will shoot less than a 1/2 inch 3 shot group at 100 yards with factory federal premiun sierra 150 grain bullets, I am not going to even try any other loads since the gun performs this well with factory rounds. I am trying to decide which scope I want to put on this gun. I am thinking a zeiss conquest 3x9x40 or a leupold vx-111 2.5x8x36. I am looking for suggestions. Thanks

The Lupy is 11.5 oz. and the Ziess is 13 oz. Light gun+light scope=balanced gun.

If you want higher quality glass, Zeiss, purdy, Leupold.
I have found lately that purdy is as purdy does, and am liking the looks of my Zeiss more and more.

No contest. I'd go with the Zeiss but a 3.5x10x44 if you don't need any additional magnification. Made the switch from Leupy a few years ago and never looked back.
