Had pretty good luck hunting the edges of hardwoods that are in pines. As for just pines, depending on how tall they are and the underbrush, had pretty good luck hunting the sides of small hills. Now if they are short pines around 4-5 feet tall try to get above em so you can see down into them.

I hunt the edges of pines regularly, but I never go into the pines because those are my local sanctuaries. However, if I were hunting a pine plantation, that would be a different story.

We got some land that has one pine thicket that's 60 acres. We took chain saws in three different places cut us a small 40x40 square, scraped back the ground and threw out some throw and go and had a lot of luck with them. We put blinds up overlooking each one. Other advice, like the others said find the food (edges) and hunt them.
