I havent checked acorns yet, but persimmon and every other browse imaginable is loaded! We normally move our cattle to another farm by mid July, they are still in the same pastures so far with no signs anytime soon on having to move them.

I am anxious to see how deer hunting is going to be this year, in my area they do not have to move more than a couple hundred yards and they have all the food and water they need. Typical food sources that hold large groups of deer (soybean fields, etc) only have a few in them, at least the ones I have been glassing.

In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.

My Shelby county White oak is loaded. There is a stand of them on my lease and we did some pruning to open the area up a tad.

Hoping for something good. The last 2 years have been dismal on mine. They found them nearby because I opened up 2 stomachs last year and they were loaded, but not from my place. I have had a stand on a group of 8 oaks for the last 2 years with minimal sightings on that stand. Hopefully, the 3-year theory kicks in this year.

Sometimes they are very hard to see, even when there are lots there (this early).

Swamp chestnut (white) seems only fair. Sawtooth are better than average. I'm seeing a lot of the little acorns from the willow oaks on the ground and it appears that the squirrels are eating them pretty good.

I have an oak in my front yard, I believe it is river oak and that thing hasn't had a bad year that I can remember.

From what we're seeing, looks like a moderate crop in my area. Thankfully, not a bumper crop.

Pin oaks already dropping in Kansas. Deer were hammering them on the cams I checked a week ago.
