They do dig up the turnips for sure in late winter, but our clover has always bounced back with no problem. Funny how deer in one area will eat the brassica and others won't...I think that it was 2008 when we first started planting it.

For those who add brassica, rape, or other green winter plants to established clover plots:

Do you simply top sow the small seeds? I sprayed clethodim and killed the grasses, now it's time for the next step.

I want to add radishes and brassica's to my clover plots this fall.

Sowing the small seed right in front of rain is what we have always done up to this year.

With all the rain, our clover is so lush & thick I was afraid that the brassica wouldn't have much of a chance with overseeding. I tillered strips about 20' wide down the middle and planted them with Maximum & Daikin turnips 3 weeks ago.

if the ground is really hard I scarif it with a drag first.
