OK, I got a new crossbow and got it sighted in. I have shot it maybe 50 times and have noticed on all three bolts(arrows) that came with the bow has some dis forming on the cocking vein. I do not see anything that it is contacting to cause this problem. Anybody else have some wear on their cocking vein or any suggestions?

Ive never had that problem before. Most everything Ive ever shot has been Excaliburs but I dont know if thats relevant or not.
Is it possible you have half moon nocks and its pushing the vane to one side pretty hard on release ?
Just dont know. Let us know if you figure it out.
Im curious.

That should not be happening. If you bought the bow new you should contact the manufacturer and ask their opinion. If you bought used, you might make sure that the vanes are not too tall for the bow's rail depth. Some vanes can hit the bottom of the rail trough.

I may have found the problem. I put some blue chalk on the cocking vane, shot three times and now found a small mark on the left side of my flight rail at the last 1.5" of the rail. While I was cleaning out the rail with a Q tip I noticed that the rail gets more narrow there @ the last 1.5". Is this common for a crossbow rail or is there something wrong with mine?

What brand/model is this bow? Narrowing of the rail is not a good thing. If it is always the same side of the vane being marked, you could index the nock a few degrees if it is a moon nock. This would rotate the vane away from the rail to start with.
