CAW,

I had no idea land was selling for that in Lincoln County. All I can say is "Wow." On the other hand, that area has been producing some whopper bucks of late...

Yea, I wish land values were lower, that's for sure. But you're right - the hunting is certainly starting to rival many other parts of the country.

It's definitely rising on my list of "trophy areas" of TN.

Thanks. If I hadn't found a larger one, I wouldn't even think of getting rid of it.

Is land really going that high in the area???

Actually almost cheap down this way. It is cheap considering it's ready to hunt. Saw some the other day in Lincoln county that was $3500/acre. And wasn't nowhere nice as this.

Always been big deer killed in Lincoln county. Most are never heard about. I grew up hunting Lincoln, Giles, and Limestone (in Alabama) and still do. And when I first got TN deer and read about age and antlers in other parts of the state I knew these counties were special. I can get in the truck and drive a few miles this time of year and see 130" deer in more than one place and even bigger. The biggest bucks I've probably ever seen were in Lincoln county. And a whole lot of folks with joining farms are on the same page down here. Some of those 130"s are passed, in fact we pass deer I never thought we'd pass. And it shows over the years. And yes I know what a 130" deer looks like..

All of these bucks were killed within a couple of miles from this tract LAST YEAR ALONE (one was on another farm I own now)

This one came off my farm (163")
