Got 2 boxes (limit per day) of American eagle high velo 22lr at academy in Franklin. 50 rd boxes for 2.19 each. Think things will come back to normal? It's a lot cheaper than my last purchase

Cat they have had that ammo everyday for the last two months at that price. they have never raised it. That being said, I am not sure things are coming back to normal just yet.

they said any .380, 9mm, and .22 ammo they get in doesn't last a day or 2. They did get some bulk in last week, and i missed it by 45 minutes. they had 325 boxes out until 11 am.

Everything weapons has/had a ton of .22 and they are asking .12 a round. I think we still have a ways to go.

I just haven't looked there for it and noticed it at customer service when I was buying a life vest for my new boat

I have a receipt: 5,250 CCI bulk in my hands for $180.56 or 3.42 cents each. Wally World was roughly $22.00 for 550. 4 cents each. Those prices are pre-2012 election. When they get back to those levels, the panic is over. Won't happen until every person who wants to stock up reaches his target objective-whatever that nuber may be, many want 15-20,000.

I believe normal will return in the spring of 2014. That would be so long as our resident kenyan emperor keeps his executive order pen capped.

Sad to say but unfortunately my last three bricks cost $70.00, $50.00 and $50.00. Bad when you thank that the $50.00 was a deal.

We may never see .22 prices where they were before. Why??? The companies that make these rounds know what's going on... Supply and demand.

Who to blame... Us... We thought the end of the world was coming and made these companies millions. Each Wal-Mart across the country for the last year had 10 to 20 guys standing at the sporting good desk before the workers could stock the rack. Now they know they can raise prices and make more money.

Good luck and prices now will be .08 to .10 a round.... on avg.

I picked up the last 2 boxes of Winchester Red Box High Vel from SW today and gave $9/box. They had plenty of shorts, which I would have bought if they were CBs.

Can you shoot the high velocity in all 22's without damage?

Yup. I wish I hadn't shot up my 500-round box just before this craziness started. Took me 6 months to find a 100-round box, and then had to pay too much.

I don't want to hoard. I just want to buy a 500-round box for under $25.
