Wonder how long it will take to make it to Tennessee?

Just great....

Glad I buy Permethrin by the gallon.

Bummer. One of my buddies picked up some tick-borne malady a couple months ago in western KY. He wanted to die. Luckily he's a flight paramedic for vandy and had access to adequate care. I'll have to ask him about this.

Great, more things to worry about. I have about 100 bites on my arms right now. Note to self, Never wear a short sleeve shirt in the woods no matter how hot it is. Dang almost microscopic seed ticks tore me up. I couldn't imagine being a deer.

My rule, no matter how hot it is: heavy fabric long-sleeve shirt buttoned at the sleeves and collar, Heavy long pants tucked into snakeboots. Ball-cap. Everything soaked in permethrin.

Uncomfortable yes, but I spend hours crawling through head-high brambles and grass several days a week all summer long, and haven't had a tick bite in years. And very few chiggers.

Used permetherin last weekend when I was out checking and setting cams, but didn't have my cap sprayed down. I got a tick off the back of my neck when I got back home that had apparently fallen off a limb as I went under and bumped it I suppose.

This is the worst year I've ever seen for ticks.
