Yep, same as fishing. When telling your story to these types, you have to weigh your fish or measure your deer on their scales. On their scale, a 3.5 lb fish is actually over 5 and a 100" deer is at least 135". \:\)

I had posted this one for some reason here a while back. Sorry if you have already heard.

Went hunting with one of my friends and at around 9:00 I hear the Boom. So, I sat and waited until I was done then went over to see what he killed.

So, I get there, and it's a doe. No big deal right? Well I don't know if he was ashamed of killing a doe around the rut or what it was but here is the story that followed.

"There was about 12 deer in the field, a couple little bucks, some does, and a nice mature 8 point. He came out walking straight towards me. So I waited until I got a broadside shot at him. Then this doe comes up to him and they were both facing each each, both broadside at about 80 yds. Well, then they started either kissing each other or licking each others noses or something. So, anyways I took aim at his shoulder and pulled the trigger and I'll be d**ned if the doe didn't drop. I swear I didn't mean to kill her. That isn't the first time I have missed a deer but it is the first time that I missed and killed another deer."

Needless to say, I wasn't buying it. The doe got shot right in the shoulder, which is where he shoots all of his deer. I swear every time he goes in the woods there is a crazy story that follows. Most of it is all BS but it really does make going hunting with him even funner. We always have a good time. I think all he does while he is hunting is think of how he is going to tell the story of his hunt and make it seem like the most extraoridnary thing you have ever heard in your life.

"I just got permission to hunt a farm that hasnt been hunted in 5 yrs".

Unless it has a 10 ft electrified chain link fence around it and armed security guards, it has been hunted,
