Theres a bunch on here that have a .270WSM.
Ive only had the .300 WSM and would rather have it or a 7mm WSM though.

So far nothing has moved out of its tracks with my 270 WSM. If you dont handload you might want to consider it with the cost of ammo and limited factory ammo choices. If I didnt hand load I would go with the plain old 270 over the WSM.

If you don't reload the 270 WSM blows the 270 Winchester away in every catagory.(270 Winchester factory rounds are loaded very mild) The only downside is the ammo is expensive. If you reload, that won't be an issue.
I love mine and have killed several deer with it using 140 grain Nosler Accubonds and Hornady Interlocks.

The choice of projectiles for a 7mm (.284) are greater than for a .270.
Go with the 7WSM if you want a magnum. If you want all the performance you could ever need without the incredibly short barrel life of a magnum, go with the .280 Remington (Basically a 7mm bullet in a 30-06 case).

I guess with a range of 90gr to 180gr bullets in .277, you cant find a good hunting bullet; so the addition of match grade bullet weights in .284 will make all of the difference and the .007" larger diameter bullet will automatically kill better. I hate to say it, but if can be done with a .284, it can be done just as well with a .277 in hunting situations.
