I love them like everyone said pressure cook them especially the big I usually don't bother with pc on the small ones

I don't fool with the rib meat. I quarter the squirrel, soak overnight in saltwater and then freeze. When ready to cook I thaw the meat and then soak in a bottle of zesty italian dressing and a small can of pineapple juice. You can wrap with bacon but don't have too. Toss on the grill and get ready for some fine tasting meat.

if they are young and fat then I recommend squirrel and dumplins, fixed the same as you would chicken and dumplins. I also love some bbq tree rat, boil it till the meat falls of the bone then add bbq or bake with bbq in the oven, of course use sweet baby ray's or garland jack's secret six, best two bbq sauces there is lol

Not sure about the juice but the Italian dressing makes a fantastic marinade. however I bake mine in the oven. I just might have to try adding bacon and grilling them. Sound really good.
