Get one of those hybrid gas/charcoal grills. You have the convenience of gas but you can get the taste of the charcoal style when you want to do it.

Looked at one of those too and did like it. The gas was on the left and charcoal on the right. Even had a smoker on the end.

I have a Weber 4 burner with infrared and love it. I will say that I never use the infrared though. The grill was a gift from my parents years ago. It has all stainless burners and grates and looks like the day it was new but is at least 10 years old. I think it will be the last grill I will ever have.

Brinkman...what's the skinny on them? Saw what looked to be a nice 5-burner with sear at Home Depot.

A friend of mine's dad has one and he's so-so on it. He said it cooks alright, but feels it's a little more cheaply made than he originally thought when he bought it. He had some issues with having to replace burners and knobs.

Take that for what it's worth. I've never used it myself, but I've seen it. It looks alright and the food that came off of it was as good as any. I'm not sure what model it was. It wasn't a huge one.

Thanks TJ. It seems to be pretty well made and I did notice it had a lifetime warranty on the stainless steel burners. Not limited lifetime but lifetime. Still haven't purchased one yet.
