Man went back to reelfoot Last night and whacked them pretty good.
They killed 18 and man killed 16 of those. \:D

The guy he went with broke his nock on the second shot he took.

Anyway, here are some pics of two fish.
I call these common carp but the short fat one looks like a buffalo, but honestly I really don't know.

Believe it or not they weighed within 3 pounds of each other.
The long one was 22 pounds and the short fat one was 19 according to my scale.

Close up of short fat one:

Close up of the long one:

Both. They are slightly discolored due to being in a cooler of ice all day.

Their entire pile from last night.

Not too shabby I don't think for using headlights and shooting from the bank.
Guess we are headed to Final Flight to get him a Muzzy XD reel.
Thanks SMH, you costing me money !

I believe the long one is the bigmouth buffalo and the short one is the small mouth buffalo. the smallmouth buffalo's mouth is suppose to point with the bigmouth pointing down, I have never caught a bigmouth and didn't think they were that stream lined but I guess they are.

Wow !
That's cool man.

I notice the tobaggan,,,, man asked me last night if you could bowfish in the winter.
Told him I had no clue.

Other than the obvious (deer season) is bowfishing any good in the fall / winter?

Fall can be the best time of the year for BIG fish.

I personally like to bowfish in the winter. We shot this one last year while it was snowing.

No, Bigmouth and smallmouth buffalo are native to TN and are members of the sucker family. They are not a carp. The asian/silver and bighead carp are not native. They eat plankton and microscopic organisms that puts them in direct competition with forage fish such as threadfin shad and also gamefish fry that have just hatched......Where in lies the problem!

slaughter,
The 8 fish in the "center" of the last picture (4 on each side all turned the same way) are the asain or jumping carp.
They are EVERYWHERE at the spillway.
