trying to plan a trip next sat with a few of my buds,just light tackle no fly rods.like to get a few good ideas before picking a spot that we can use salmon eggs, corn, rooster tails, power bait,possibly a few doll flies. wading no boat below center hill,or dale hollow or any other trout streams in middle,tn yall might recommend for us to possibly have the best luck...keep in mind one is young age of 70...thanks

dale hollow is easy access around the boat ramp below the dam and is some good fishing.

I doubt there will be much time for wading by Saturday but you might get lucky. Center Hill is about 13 feet higher than it needs to be right now and is coming up every hour so I imagine alot of generating will be going on for a bit.

Dale Hollow always produces, usually can catch a few in the main river but if you want to limit out quick go to the creek that is coming into the river , start right behind the hatchery and work down, most of the time they absolutely stock it slam full of trout. Always limit out in just a little while. Me and my cousin caught 14 fish in 14 casts one day , easy access to fish also. (hint): Rapalas

If the Caney comes down and you want to catch fish it can be a good place. If you want fish to keep and eat, probably not at its prime. Most of the fish in there right now are either brown, can't keep unless they are 24" or brooks, just stocked and pretty small right now.
