I'm the opposite. I tend to sit from morning until 1, then call it a day. Sometimes, I move for the 10-1 timeframe, usually closer to water if need be and if it is especially hot. The amount of deer movement between 10 and noon on hot days is surprising.

A lot of times I come out midday during early bow season. When you hunt midday when its hot you still stay with the food sources or whats your setup?

Most of the time I slip into my set up around 2 p.m and hunt till dark. If I hunt all day or midday I stay close to the food.

Oh, and this, coupled with a terrain change, like a hardwood line bordering a pine thicket.

Wherever I see the biggest concentration of fresh sign. Trails, food plots, funnels, water holes, etc. Usually the wind narrows it down for me.

Food source. If it is a drought, maybe a water source. nothing else.
