I am 5'10" and about 200 but dropping down to 180 (hopefully). My wife is around 5'8" and will be around 140 I guess after pregnancy. I usually wear shorts and an untucked t-shirt in summer and jeans and an untucked t-shirt in the fall/winter with a coat as needed. My pistol is a Glock 23 and my wife currently has a Beretta 84FS Cheetah but may get a small S&W revolver. Thanks in advance.

Dang buddy. 0311 and 200lbs?! Just giving you a hard time man. Crossbreed is my favorite. Conceal my kimber 1911 great.

I worked my way into a Galco King Tuck for my G23.

If you've never carried, your best bet is to get a cheapie neoprene holster and start wearing it around the house to get used to it. Using the cheap one will help you figure out the style you like best. I didn't believe it when I started carrying, but everyone told me that I'd end up with a drawer full of holsters after a while. They were right. From what I understand, the top-notch IWB holster is the Crossbreed. It is cream of the crop in design and function, but at around $70, you don't want to not like it. I'll leave you with one very valuable piece of information that took me too long to learn.

If the holster is anchored within the "print" of the pistol (like this), it won't be very stable, in that it wants to rotate a lot, and you'll find yourself constantly fiddling with it.

However, if the anchor points are "wings", well outside the "print" of the pistol (like this), it will hardly move.

Also, buy a thick belt. Spend $40 on the stiffest one you can buy that won't easily fold in half.

For the money, I like the Crossbreed better and wish I had gone with it. I like how the leather backer fully shields the frame from your body. Plus, its clips are much deeper, and I've noticed some difficulty in tucking my shirt in while carrying with the King Tuck.

This is the Galco King Tuck, and its leather backer just isn't as full. I work outside and sweat a lot, and I'd prefer it shielded my G23 better than this. Also, compare the depth of the belt clips, and imagine trying to tuck a shirt in with this one, compared to the Crossbreed. These are both "tuckable" holsters, but you can see how much more shallow the clips are on the Galco.

Great advise. Actually I think that im somewhere between the supertuck and king tuck based off of advise here and other research. I do believe im leaning towards the crossbreed and if I dont like it, I can send it back. Plus the lifetime warranty sounds nice.

The prices online are the exact same...I'd go with the Crossbreed. You may want to look into some "C" shaped hooks, rather than over-the-belt clips or "J" hooks. Less likely to snag and nearly unnoticeable....especially when you've tucked in a shirt.

No mater which one you get, get yourself a real gun belt, they will hold up and last you years.

What he said. Love my Crossbreed!

I found that any holster will feel uncomfortable until you get use to it and the pistol. A good belt is a must and I don't know about the rest of you but I bought a couple pair of jeans a size bigger to start with which made the holster and gun feel a lot more comfortable until I was use to it. I can't carry at work so it's not an everyday thing for me and took a little longer to get use to.
