I bought a new Carharrt ball cap today and the warden made fun of me and couldn't believe I was wearing it! Lol. I see lots of folks wearing them and thought they were back in style? What are the thoughts of the ever so knowledgable tndeer members?

Yup. Mesh (or visor) = summer / hot. Full back equals winter / cooler.

So let it be written, so let it be done

I like them, especially in the summer. About the only time I don't wear them is during the cold months, like December thru March. I have 5 of them...I wear two of them on a regular basis. \:\)

My wife hates the mesh hats...says it's an old man look. I say it's a retro look, tthat's the type of hat I wore when I played baseball. \:\)

It's only an old man hat if you strategically place it at the highest circumfrence of your head. LOL

Fellas who mock other guys over fashion rules are a little too wrapped up in themselves. A definite indication of an inner runway model screaming to come out.

I laugh at all the boys with the flat brimmed "lids". Old farmers 'round home wear 'em that way. We used to spend hours getting our brims shaped just right. Now we buy them that way. Takes all the fun out of it.

Old school "trucker hats" have been back in style with city folks for a couple of years. They even make some with faux coffee stains on them. I'm pretty sure they never went out of style with country boys.

Style? You care about STYLE?

Clothes to me are a means to an end....not being naked, fitting properly, and holding up to abuse. There's not much else to be considered. I'd question the sexuality of a man berating you for clothing preferences.....provided, of course that gay things such as Capri pants, pink shirts, neckerchiefs, etc. aren't the objects of focus. Then, it is his obligation as a man to point out your savage attempts at faggotry. \:D

Here's a picture tutorial:

Nothing about this "man" should be allowed in public. This entire ensemble is a tragic assault to sensible men everywhere. We as men are completely entitled, if not expected, to point out every failure.

Thou shalt not question this man's attire

This is not an outdoorsman. He is an Orvis model. Real men don't pay $80 for t-shirts. Feel free to mock him.

This hunter is colorblind. Thou shalt not mock his choice of attire. Function is most important

Any questions? \:D

My kids at school laugh at me because my hat points almost straight up. They say I'm trying to use it as a sun dial. It's how my granddaddy wore his and I guess I just always copied him.

Oh, and to be a true mesh back, it has to be snap adjustment, not Velcro or some type of buckle.
