I recently acquired a very nice 420 LR Classic. It has a beautiful curly maple stock and half moon barrel.

Does anyone have one? What are you best loads for it?

I had two several years ago and can't remember what loads I used. I believe I have the owners manual on my computer at home if you would like it I can email it to you tonight.

Some of the prettiest MLs made at one time.

A friend of mine uses one. He's killed a bunch of deer with one 50 plus one 30 grain(80 grain total) pyrodex pellets and a XTP and sabot.

I'm selling my Austin & Halleck 420. I bought Deer Assassin's
SS MLII a couple months ago and no longer need the A&H. If
interested send pm or call 731-822-3028.

I had to retire my Austin & Halleck. Although heavy by todays standards, it was from my then home state of Utah.
The firing pin on the one piece striker eventually deformed enough to not hit the primer hard enough to ignite. (I wonder if that part on my rifle was not heat treated enough, as my hunting has mutliple A&Hs and has had NO problems.)
A&H has gone out of business and parts are no longer available.
Beautiful rifle, and was even better if you got both the wood stock and the synthetic stock.

Hey Lance, you can go to http://www.prbullet.com and order a 209 conversion kit for your A&H. It comes with a new breech plug and firing pin assembly. Their name is Precision Rifle and their phone # is 204-866-2206. Hope this will help you un-retire your A&H.

What part of Utah were you from? I used to live in Spanish Fork, just south of Provo.
