Solid advice no matter if you shoot factory or reloads. No one can predict what your gun will shoot. Rick's advice is sound.

270's have long necks. that usually favors heavy bullets, since the bullet can be seated properly without getting into your powder column. i prefer 140 or 150 due to the higher ballistic coefficiency and sectional density. any will work fine

Yep, a lot of successful bullets for the 270 Win's, which is my favorite rifle caliber.

I've killed elk, mule deer, whitetails, coyotes, and prairie dogs. with my Browning A-bolt 270. The gun's favorite bullet was a Winchester Supreme 130 grain Silvertips. I don't think Winchester sells them anymore. I once shot a 3-round group of 0.75" at 200 yards! I won a free lunch that day. Even better, I was using a 1984 Tasco "World Class" scope with duplex reticle.

i have noticed standard cup and core bullets shoot the best in my guns, over the bonded or partitioned bullets. on 150 pound TN whitetails shouldnt be an issue anyway. If i had to shoot factory fodder, i would try the federal power shoks. they are said to be very concentric
