the does and don't!! I bought it mainly to drop my catfish in but honestly it looks easy but I am sure I'm clueless. If you could tell me certain temps for certain foods...or how long I can use the oil I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

If you want to reuse oil, you'll need to store it in airtight containers. -mason jars work fine.

is it propane? if do, you have to be careful not to scorch the oil.

By allowing it to get too hot. seems propane cookers are more prone than electric.

The smoking or burning point will depend on what type of oil you use. I tend to cook at 350 as 375 is getting really close to the burning point of some of the oils. Get a long thermometer that attaches inside the pot but doesn't touch the sides.
