Your post mixes and matches a ton of different things most of which belong in separate topics.

One is marriage in different religions and cultures. Basically that's all about the institution of marriage the the religion/culture/government attempting to define that to meet their expectations. In regards to that our big problem today is that marriage and relationships as they have evolved mostly in the last 50 years have not established a pattern where a child grows up in a home with his natural mother and father. There are innumerable studies that show very clearly a huge increase in criminal and antisocial behavior when that occurs. No matter what you think about people rights priviledges etc the end result is the same and very destructive.

You more specifically address Christian marriage. As you have said various demonitions and different Christians have different views on the subject. Christ did address it and Paul has talked about it. I suspect you already know that Christ said in marriage two become one and in so doing anything they do should be done for the spouse as you would do for yourself. What he gave us is the BEST way for human beings to be happy. That is a committed marriage between two Christians. It does not mean every Christian marriage will be happy and it does not mean no mairrage between people not Christian can be happy. It does mean that God loves us and wants the best for us and tells us how we are most likely to achieve that.

We, not one of us, walks each day the way Christ would have us walk. That is why we are so gratefull for forgiveness. No one should condemn another for what/how they live. It is more than enough to deal with how we live our own lives. Both take the beam from your own eye before you remove the spec from your brothers and judge not lest ye be judge tell us that very clearly. If you read and study the words of Christ you will find a way of living your life that is superior to that you see lived by even the best among us but the closer you can come to that life the happier you can be.

BH, no sin is greater than another except that that we should not put anything else before God. The Ten Commandments are not the only rules that God put before us to follow. Christ was sent to earth to show us how to live. Christ directed us on how to live our lives yet many of the things He said to us were not directly in the Ten Commandments. It can be summed up that the Ten Commandments encompass all things in live that we are to do as children of God but there are many things that fall under those Commandments that are not explicitly stated.

In that I'd hope you don't mean that as Christians we're not to speak out on what's Right / Wrong......because that is not what I've been taught in Church.

The purpose of the Law

What might be the purpose of God's law today? Simply, it is to show us our helplessness and lead us to Christ that we might be saved by faith—Gal. 4:24. All laws, however, have other practical purposes in a nation's life.

Ecclesiastes 3:8 - There is "a time to love and a time to hate."
B. Love for God Requires US to Hate Evil.

Psalms 97:10 - You who love the Lord, hate evil!

Proverbs 8:13 - The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate.

Deuteronomy 7:25-27 - Graven images were an abomination to God, therefore His people were to detest and utterly abhor them. What God hates, we should hate because we love Him and fear Him.

1 John 2:15-17 - Do not love the world or the things of the world, including lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life. If we love these things, the love of the Father is not in us! Again, love for God forbids us to love things that oppose Him. It is impossible to love both God and evil.

So, the issue is not whether we love or whether we hate, but what we love and what we hate. Because of the things we love, there are other things we must hate. It is impossible to love everything, because some things are direct opposites. If you love one, you must hate its opposite. The more you love one, the more you hate its opposite.

Specifically, the more you love God, the more you must hate evil because God and evil are opposites. When your opposition to evil grows weak, you need to realize that this means your love for God has grown weak!

a few more to explain it.

2 Timothy 4:1-3
King James Version (KJV)

4 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

Exactly.

2 Timothy 3

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
