Came across this pic from '06. I had just taken my best buck ever, and Granny was there to share it with me. She passed away in May of 2010...sure do miss her. She was always a part of my hunting times, as I would park at her house, then come out and talk about the hunt with her, midday or after dark. She always had the porch light on for me when I would come out after dark.

Good you got to have memories with her.

Cool pic. Mine passed a few years ago and I remember when I was a kid goin out at night shooting a mess of frogs and cleaning them and she would have them ready at breakfast. Biscuits, gravy, and frog legs.

Nothing like a Granny. Mine has been gone 15 years now. I miss her. Hardly a day goes by that I don't think about her. Cherish them while you hvae them.

My last and closest one passed away in 2007. Sure do miss her and think of her almost every day. She was 94 years young when the Lord called her home. Great post and pic Mup !!

Oh yea for sure. She was always ready at the end of our morning hunts, and even the evening ones, to fix breakfast or a late supper. Eggs, sausage and homemade biscuits...or her locally famous fried "cocoa pies". I had several friends that I believe only hung around me for that reason, just to go to Granny's with me in hopes that she would break out the flour and cocoa and make them!

Granny was 95 when she was called Bret. A long, full life for sure, but still seems to me that it was too short. \:\( Many a time she offered sound Christian advice to me, and never, never, in a hostile or condescending way...just out of pure love. \:\)
