I don't care if I never go there again. I've been twice and wasn't impressed either time. I'd rather go to Tops.

Spot on review, thanks for sharing. Back in the day when I frequented the Rendezvous, my favorite things were the meat and cheese appetizer tray, the beer and the "scenery" that hung out by the bar. \:\)

Latham's has great food and good cuts of meat as well. I always try to stop in when I am in the area, which is not as often as I would like.

I'm a lifelong Memphian so I'm familiar with the Rendezvous. Years ago, I thought it was great. Now I have to agree with the above reviews. I'm not sure if its a case of the place changing over time to accommodate the high volume of customers, or my tastes changing to the point where I know good BBQ and ribs.

For some reason its still the go-to place for tourists, but the last place I want to eat a slab of ribs.

BTW, they used to serve a pork loin that was excellent. I heard its not on the menu anymore.

I'm fairly certain they do their ribs the same way they have always done it.
