Just wondering if any one has a Ford pickup with the 6 cylinder turbo. If so just wondering how you like it and if you have had any issues with the motor. Just wondering how well it pulls and what kind of mileage it is getting.

I have one. It is a 2011 that I bought new and I love it. Mine is 4x4 and on the highway I average around 20 to 21mpg. I have gotten up to 23 on highway on a longer trip. I have hauled 4 tons of sand on a trailer behind it and had no problems. Other than that I usually only haul my boat and it does great with that as well. My dad has one in a 2 wheel drive and has gotten as much as 25.5mpg on highway. Neither one of us have had any issues with our trucks at all. The power is great and it is even better to have it on demand but still have the gas mileage.

Ive heard of lots of people liking them.

We have a company truck at work. its a 2011 4x4 with the 6cyl turbo. It was a tie buyers truck who got fired and it was left here through the remainder of the lease on it. I took a trip to Mississippi in it a month or so ago. Its got 97k on it and the transmission was slipping awfully bad. But i have to take into consideration that it wasnt his truck. Just a work truck and im sure he dogged it out.

My brother in law drove one for a while and liked it. But my wife has a 2010 crew cab 4x4 that has the V8 and she is getting around 22 on the highway. Best gas mileage we have ever gotten out of a Ford

It's just too early for me to trust it.....the Eco Boost has a lot of people that really love it. To me, I just prefer the V8. A twin-turbo six is just asking for trouble down the line, but that's just my opinion.

Thanks everyone for your input, I had 2010 Ford with a V8 and was supposed to gotten 20 on the highway and it never saw anything near that. I drive the speed limit or a little below the speed limit.

I have a new 2013 4x4 Supercrew XLT. Ecoboost turbo 6 cyl. About 3k miles on it. Av 17.4 mpg lifetime mixed driving-mostly town, Mtn, rural < 55 mph. Two highway trips so far av 21 at 70-75 mph not towing. I mostly drive gently, but its hard to keep my foot out of it- I grin when those turbos kick in.

Love the truck. Low end torque makes it feel a little like my diesel F250 as it accelerates. Tows great. Snatches my boat out of the water easily on steep ramps. Best truck I've had so far and I've had dodges Chevys and a few other fords-diesel and gas. I test drove the 5.0 V8--it was great as well. I actually got the V6 cause its a little quiter and I like the low end torque. If u like that V8 rumble that engine sounds sweet' however The v6 will not get better mileage than the v8, so don't base your decision on that. Just buy your preference after test driving and you will be happy either way.

One other thing-forgot to state-mine is 3.55 rear end, electric locker. The differential will very slightly affect your mileage, but probably not enough to matter. I was advised that you want to upsize tires or hsve some very heavy towing needs get the 3.73. I drove them both stock and couldn't tell the difference.

I just bought a new 2013 Ford F150 XLT with the 5.0 V8 and i'm thinking I may have made a mistake. I am only getting about 13.7 mpg and that's driving it easy.

Striker, the V8 I had in a 2010 F150 got about 13 around town and 17 highway. I don't drive fast either. That is why I was wondering about the 6 Cyl

My brother in law has a 2012 4-door 4x4 Lariat with the 5.0 and averages around 17. The ride is unbelievable too. I drove an eco boost before I bought my F250 and it will fly. My only concern was whether or not the towing capabilities touted by Ford would hold true.

Ummm, that's a lot low. My real-time MPGs are generally 16 or better. Run it to the dealership

Check it out. It looks pretty impressive.

That being said, I have 2 friends who bought new 150's in the last 2 weeks. Both drove the Eco and the 5.0 and felt that the 5.0 had more power. Beats me...

Here is a picture of the truck. First tank it got 19.98 MPG. I think that was great for short running around here.

Sorry about that infoman \:\) I use to have only 4x4 but now gotten older and just not interested in 4 wheel drives any longer

Notice what is on the front plate \:\)
