Great group of pictures. The "killing cones" are a fantastic idea (well for you, not the birds).

i agree (i cant believe i actually said that)

on a serious note, if you are on any printed work out plan that includes dietary recommendations- skinless chicken is a must. But the skin is the best part of the clucker, IMO

We modified some short orange road cones for killing cones and they worked great. We had a small electric scalder so you could set your temp. and not have to worry with it to much. The real best part thou was a small wash tub style plucker! We could drop 3 birds in, flip it on and they would come out clean with very few stray feathers in just a minute or two. Made everything go A LOT faster! Plus a cheap lung removal tool is pretty handy if your doing a bunch of birds.

I skin all mine. We do about 30-50 a year.

Plucking is just too much mess/work.
