In spite of a late start, they seem to be coming along.

Three rows of tomato plants(all heirlooms). In the background is the old garden with purple hulls, melons, okra, anda few sunflowers.

German Red Strawberry...classic shape.

My small garden.

Man that looks great. My Tomatoes don't seem to be doing as well. I'm thinking too much water but I really don't know.

Mine are doing great so far, no sign of BER or anything yet. They are all just under 4 feet tall now and I lost count of the tomatoes and blooms long ago.

Mine are looking good-----we had our first ones last week--they were not large but tasted good. They sureset off a meal. I have not had a bug on them but will soon I guess. Hate them big green horned worms.

Mine doing good too...I've not watered anything yet. I swear they're growing a foot over night. We planted 78 this year and I now have 80 coming up and doing great. Lots of green. It will be canning time real soon.

I only planted 3, but they have taken off like gangbusters. I planted one of the grape tomatoes too close to an heirloom plant, and now they look like they are in a wrestling match. I ended up breaking a few branches while trying to untangle them and re-stake them.

Learning some lessons about tying them off early before they get too established...

I've been told that you can put a broken limb with a fresh break in the dirt and it will finish ripening the tomatoes on it (and sometimes even set down new roots). I thought I'd try it out, since there were a ton of greenies on it.

Yeah, we've done this. I don't know about the finishing the ripening part but I have (3) that have developed new roots and are stil living, but you can tell a vast difference in their height, etc versus the others.
