IMO, one bad shot is about as bad as any other. My biggest mistake has been to think I had a chip shot and just did not follow through with my form which has resulted in some deer being hit too far back or forward. I do recall one season I was on a roll and had already taken three deer in weeks past that fell in sight of my stand. I had a big doe come in at about 10 yards. I missed low the first shot and could not believe it. I was able to nock another arrow and take another shot at about 15 yards as she came back in wondering what just happened. Well, that one missed too. At this point I was about to come unglued. I nocked another arrow and she came back in again and presented me with another 15 yd shot. Another swing and a miss. Right as that third arrow hit the dirt, I saw the flap on my left shirt pocket falling to the ground. The third shot ripped it completely off. I like to say that is why I missed. LOL.

I have made to many to count or that I wish to recall. I will just say that in my early days of bow hunting it was not unusual to get out of the stand half way through the hunt to reclaim arrows.
