P0449 is the code. Anyone had similiar problem? Looked online looks like a couple possibilities, just wondering if anyone on here has had same problem and if so is it a hard fix?

We had the same error on our 04 Silverado; had to replace a valve that I was told is a common failure. Fixed it right up.

More than likely it is either a bad EVAP canister vent valve or one of the vacuum hoses near is bad—very common on that vehicle. The vent valve will be by the gas tank, as will the vacuum hoses. The valve is $30-$40 dollars from what I remember and takes about 10 minutes to change it. Most of the time, I have found it to be a rotten vacuum hose that has split somewhere, but if that's not it the canister vent valve would be the next suspect.

You were right, canister vent valve thingy back by gas tank. Light is off for now!
