For those that might be interested in the process, I had my first laser treatment yesterday afternoon. I am having some large flames removed from my forearms and a spider web from my elbow. They worked on me for an hour and 15 minutes with no breaks. That was brutal.

Each jolt of the laser feels similar to being popped with bacon grease, although 2-3 times stronger and only treats an area the size of a small piece of there are lots and lots of jolts. Similar to the application of the tattoo, some of it was no big deal and parts of it were nearly unbearable. In other words, where it hurt going on it REALLY hurts coming off. On a 1-10 pain scale, crossing the insides of my elbows was most definitely a full 10. Removal is a more painful process across the board. Also, it doesn't smell good unless you like the scent of burning hair.

Both my arms hurt badly all last evening. Sleeping was pretty tough. That raw pain has backed down to merely quite sore today. I have iced them off and on as directed and today my right arm is still swollen to roughly twice its normal size. It is also heavily blistered. I have some pics I'll post Monday when I get access to faster internet service.

I do believe it will be quite effective. I can tell a BIG difference today in the black ink. Some of it is gone already. They did tell me that due to the size and amount of ink that I could be looking at 2 years worth of these sessions. I can get treated once per month.

My decision to remove them is based 100% on the unprofessional look I have with short sleeves on...last week I called on a customer in Miami, FL wearing long sleeves and that was the last straw. When these tattoos were done, I had no idea I'd end up owning a business.
This fall, FIRE THEM ALL. Re-elect NO ONE!!!!!

Kinda makes you wonder about the effectiveness of just getting a friend with a sander.

Or for more thorough treatment, an enemy.
Some hunt for racks, some hunt for roasts. I hunt for sheer joy; the aforementioned items are merely fringe benefits.

My dad had a scar on his arm from removing a woman's initials himself it was back in the days before lasers

I used to travel and flew in every other week. Had a friend going through the same thing getting flames off his wrist and forearm. I would see the progress twice a month and was coming along good. That's until I came home one weekend and he had a whole new sleeve done from his wrist to his shoulder. He said the removal process was too painful so he decided just to cover it all up. Lol. Good luck.
