I have been told this morning that the mobile application IS NOT set up to do the quota hunt application process. Hunters will have to apply either at a license agent or by internet.

Mobile application may be available in future years for quota applications, but it is NOT an option in 2013.

Thanks for sharing with the group Steve!

If I had saved all the money I spent on hunting, I'd spend it on hunting.

Thank you all for the continued input. I received the following information from Michael May, our Chief of the IT Div., this afternoon:

“Due to recent upgrades to our mobile environment, we have instilled a functionality that allows the “Buy a License” link from our main TWRA website ( to determine whether the customer is accessing via a laptop/desktop or a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet, etc. When accessing via a laptop/desktop, the “Buy a License” link from our website realizes this and displays the license website page normally. However, when a customer accesses the “Buy a License” link from our website via a smartphone or tablet device, then the system recognizes this on the backend and then optimizes the content for better viewing on the specific mobile device. This solution is considered as the industry standard best practice for websites and TWRA is excited to move towards this solution in order to improve the online experience for our customers no matter what device they choose to utilize. However, some of our applications such as the Quota Hunts application are still being programmed to function in an optimized mobile environment and will not be ready for several more months. Until then, please consider utilizing a regular laptop/desktop if attempting to apply for Quota Hunts via the internet. In addition, one can still visit a License Agent or a TWRA Regional Office to apply for these hunts as well. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as TWRA moves toward supplying the best possible online experience for all customers.”

It will take some programming changes to make it work. There will not be time for the 2013 applications, but hopefully they will be available on mobile devices next year.

Thanks all for your patience.
