Just got a chronograph. It's a crony f-1. We tested it with a bb gun. Seems to be finicky indoors. Any tips from y'all that use chronographs that'll benefit me and help have accurate readouts.

To get it to work I used a lamp and shined the lights over the shades. That really helped. Playing with a BB gun I was wanting to kinda get familiar with it before wasting ammo. I appreciate y'all's help. And DA, shooting it is my biggest concern lol

If you take it outside and mount it on a typical tri-pod, start thinking about some way to stop it from tipping over. the shades are like sails.

And don't worry, you will shoot it.

Thanks DaveB. I can see that posing a problem.

the most fun with it was shooting with it at cheatham range

" whats that their fancy thing u are shootn thru"

and the besst is when muzzel blast from 300 rum blows the sun shades off

" he shot the dang thing" or " omg he blew it up"

Oh yeah, forgot. You can blow the sunshades off with muzzle blast. And of course, most of the time they whole tripod is tipping over and you have the great joy of watching the whole thing crash to the ground. I use little tent pegs to stake the tripod down now.

Paint the shade arms bright orange, it actually helps.
