Wife and I are heading down next week for our anniversary and hauling the boat. Anyone know anything about crappie or catfish fishing down there?

Thanks,

Josh

I've never been there, but some friends of mine have. They likened it to Center Hill. It's deep and clear if I remember correctly.

Super clear this time of year. I would say it is to late for crappie. Just had a friend return from smith and caught 20 plus channel cat fishing night crawlers for bass on deeper banks. Flatheads can also be caught on limblines with live bluegill. Night fishing under the dock lights can produce stripers and hybrids as well. Lake is full of spotted bass. I would try top water early and late for spots.

So I looked up the regulations and it looks like we're good for spider rigging and trolling, but I called the DNR and asked if there were any other regs I needed.

Called wildlife and fisheries, was transferred to law enforcement, who transferred me back to wildlife and fisheries where I was disconnected.

Thank you TWRA for answering the phone and getting someone where they need to go!
