Today was my 2nd time shooting my new to me Savage.
After some tweaking of the scope I was able to shoot this 3-shot group.
300gr hornady hp orange mmp sabot and 60gr N-120.
Needless to say I am impressed with this 100yd group. These were my 14,15,&16th shots ever with this gun which includes sighting in new scope.

Those Hornaday #4500's have shot well out of every 10ML I've tried them in. You won't need a blood trail with that load. They expand well on deer sized game too, and you can eat right up to the hole. If you get a chance, try the Speer #2482. It looks virtually identical to the #4500's but the jacket is bonded and will stay together better. The cost is comparable.

That bullet shot best out of my savage as well in the black harvester sabot, and imr sr4759. I think I will shoot that from now on I just have to order some sabots
