I've got a 12 volt foot controlled motor guide 46 lb trolling motor, it looks like I need to replace the battery with a new one, I'm a weekend fisherman who stays on the lake for 10-12 hours at a time, what's the longest lasting deep cycle marine battery on the market?

of course it depends on usage. I can drain a battery in about 3 hours while bowfishing but have crappie fished for 2 days before recharging. the walmart batteries have always worked fine for me.

I got a good price on a "duracell" from Sams. About 2/3 the price of a wallmart battery. Good warranty.

You may want to consider 2 batteries wired together.

A quality onboard smart charger will pay for itself in less than a year in frustration. Minn kota got the best reviews a few years back when I bought mine. Costs a bit more than the cheapie brands but has held up great and my batteries are ALWAYS at 100%.

They last well past the end of the warranty too.

the largest marine battery at autozone is great. better warranty than most all other brands and perform well. a dualpro charger is hard to beat. plug it in and leave it anytime you can. it charges and then maintains the battery, not the cheapest but a great charger.

Deka Marine Master and quality on board charger. I'm using a Minn Kota 2 bank 20 amp fully automatic. Leave it plugged in 7x24 when I'm not fishing.

Deka are great. If you get to West Tn much go to Dresden and Mathis battery. Their Bass Buster battery is awesome and the customer service is second to none.
